KINGDOM ENDOWMENT

Nexus  Community, Inc Update

Nexus Church is pleased to note that we have secured the services of In His Steps Foundation for our endowment work. In the fall of 2025, we matched the endowment offer.

Presently our Nexus Legacy fund has around $40,000 in it.

Like other foundations, they have ways of helping our donors to reduce taxes, avoid capital gains, and give non-cash gifts such as crypto, real estate and more.

To give to the Foundation, depends on your bequest. It may make sense to talk with an adviser from IHS depending on how you want to disperse the gift.

BENEFIT EXAMPLES FOR DONORS

#1: John wanted to leave a meaningful gift to Nexus Community that meant so much to him, but he wasn’t sure the best way to do it until he heard about the possibility of establishing a charitable gift annuity.

This unique gift option was a great way to earn an immediate tax deduction, secure guaranteed, partially tax-free income (annuity) for the rest of his life, and leave a large gift to the school when he went to heaven. Nexus will direct John to IHS Foundation, who set everything up on behalf of John and the Nexus Community.

#2: Mary wants to donate some mutual fund shares, another wanted to know about charitable remainder trusts, and another wanted to know the tax implications of donating a car. Because of Nexus endowment relationship with IHS Foundation, we are able to give you clear tax answers.

#3: An estate gift is often your largest gift to your organization—and it is a gift that won’t cost you anything in your lifetime! Please remember Nexus Church in your estate planning. We can connect you to IHSF if you need a planner.

AN INVESTMENT OF ETERNAL VALUE

We dream of a day where we can provide futures for homeownership in our impact cities.

.

  • Gifts, Not Loans: Selected applicants receive non-repayable gifts to help cover down payment and closing costs.

  • Each recipient agrees to:

    • Host three intentional gatherings (e.g., neighborhood dinner, housewarming prayer night, local block party)

    • Help connect new friends or neighbors to a local church or faith community – within the area (a church they attend)

    • A secondary grant for home owner (as the Lord provides) may also be available.
